Located in hills of brush and mixed forest, with a fluctuating water level, fed from Lewiston Reservoir on the Trinity River. Whiskeytown Lake has a bare shoreline and is very hot in Summer. Watch for poison oak and rattlesnakes. Marina, bait & tackle, store, propane, RV sites with hookups, primitive campsites, swim beach, water skiing OK, visitor center and accessible access.
