The Upper Klamath River above Copco Lake provides an exceptional "fast action" fishery for Rainbow Trout. This swift stream flows through a remote canyon with high flows in spring. Slippery, algae covered rocks and stream bottom make fishing difficult and pose a hazard to waders. The river in this area provides a big river fishing experience with wide extensive riffles that provid quality habitat and easy fishing conditions. B Stream sections between Iron Gate Reservoir and Copco Dam, and from Copco Lake to Shovel Creek are designated wild Trout waters, check Sport Fishing Regulations. The stream has been considered for a "Wild and Scenic" designation. There is a store on site.
