Caltrans, working with the Department of Fish and Game, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and Turtle Bay Exploration Park, installed the nest camera to observe the birds' breeding behavior during a major bridge replacement and freeway widening project on State Route 44. Video feed from this camera during daylight hours will be available to the public beginning November 25, 2008.
