External NRDA Resources
NOAA’s Damage Assessment, Remediation, and Restoration Program (DARRP)
Collaborates with other agencies, industry, and citizens to protect and restore coastal and marine resources threatened or injured by oil spills, releases of hazardous substances, and vessel groundings.
U.S. Coast Guard National Pollution Funds Center (NPFC)
Provides protection up-front by certifying that oil-carrying vessels have the financial ability to pay in the case of an oil spill. When spills do occur, the NPFC provides funding for quick response, compensates claimants for cleanup costs and damages, and takes action to recover costs from responsible parties.
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) Contaminants Program
Is dedicated to protecting wildlife and their habitat from pollution's harmful effects.
Department of the Interior (DOI) Natural Resource Damage Assessment & Restoration Program
Has a mission to restore natural resources injured as a result of oil spills or hazardous substance releases into the environment.
