About Readiness Unit
The Readiness Unit ensures vessel oil spill contingency plans are in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The Unit conducts unannounced notification and equipment deployment drills on plan holders. It also issues Ratings to Oil Spill Response Organizations (OSRO’s) by inspection and unannounced drills.
