Meeting Objectives

  • Receive MLPA Master Plan Science Advisory Team presentations on science related to the Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA)
  • Receive update on the progress of the MLPA Central Coast Project
  • Receive and provide guidance on preliminary packages of marine protected areas (MPAs) for the central coast
  • Review and act on proposed changes to the regional goals and objectives package for the central coast
  • Receive and act on the Strategy for the Long-Term Funding of MPAs in California
  • Receive update on administrative items related to the MLPA Initiative
  • Receive public comment on items not on the agenda
