Draft SCRSG MPA Proposals and Revised External MPA Proposals for the MLPA South Coast Study Region: Evaluations and Supplementary Information
All files require Adobe Reader unless noted otherwise.
Various methods are being used to evaluate marine protected area (MPA) proposals for the Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA) South Coast Study Region. Evaluations of proposals are conducted relative to MLPA goals, science guidelines, potential impacts to commercial and recreational fishing, California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) feasibility criteria, and California Department of Parks and Recreation guidance.
From this page you can view a document that describes the various evaluation methods, the evaluations of draft MPA proposals and revised external MPA proposals, and additional supplementary information.
The evaluations linked below are subject to slight revisions over the next several weeks; revision dates are noted in parentheses.
