Delta waters includes all rivers, sloughs, canals, cuts, forebays, and flooded islands within the area south of Interstate 80, west of Highway 99, north of Interstates 580, and 205, and Highway 120, and east of Interstate 680. The Sacramento San Joaquin Delta region is comprised of 1,600 miles of waterways that provide fishing opportunites for a variety of fish species. Anadromus Salmon and Steelhead pass through Delta water to spawning tributaries in the fall. Black Bass fishing is excellent through Delta waters year-round. Striped Bass can be found in Delta waters and the best fishing is in the spring and fall.
