Junior Hunts at the Napa-Sonoma Marshes Wildlife Area
Each year the Department of Fish and Game's Napa-Sonoma Marshes Wildlife Area sponsors a youth pheasant hunt and youth duck hunt. Permits for these hunts will be issued by drawing. To be eligible youths must possess a valid Resident Junior Hunting License and be 15 years of age or younger for the youth duck hunt (stamps not required) and 16 years of age or younger for the youth pheasant hunt. Check with the Department of Fish and Game to find out dates for the hunts (typically November). Any vacancies after the drawings will be filled on a first-come, first served basis through applications.
Questions concerning this special youth hunts should be directed to Karen C. Taylor, Associate Wildlife Biologist, with the Department of Fish and Game at: (707) 944-5567, or visit our contacts page.
