Location: Shasta and Tehama Counties - approximately 16 miles north of Red Bluff and 1 mile west of Coleman Fish Hatchery.

Special Restrictions: Public entry is allowed from 6:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. Hunting and possession of firearms and archery equipment is prohibited. Dog field trials, dog training, horseback riding and bicycles are prohibited. Dogs must be on leash and under direct owner control.
Access: From Interstate 5 east through Cottonwood, take Balls Ferry Road to Ash Creek Road to Gover Road to Coleman Fish Hatchery Road. Public entry is allowed from 6 am to 10 pm.
Description: 582 acres of riparian forests, marshes, and oak woodland support a diverse variety of migratory and resident bird species, as well as aquatic and terrestrial mammals.
Recreational Use
- Hiking, birdwatching, and wildlife viewing are permitted here. Bald eagles and osprey nest here in spring. Other wildlife of viewing interest are California quail, wood ducks, beaver, river otter, bobcat, and coyote.
