Project Directors Report: Ed Pert reported that by the end of the week a letter would be mailed to more than 700 property owners in the Lake Davis area inviting property owners with wells to participate in isotope testing. When isotope testing is complete all wells with positive tests will be included in a final testing program. The 1997 testing program will be completed for the entire ten year period as outlined in that monitoring program. The new project will develop its own monitoring program for the wells with positive isotope tests. He reported that the flyer announcing the next round of public meeting had been mailed and was being received by local residents. He continued with a report that a juvenile Bald Eagle had been found in a gill net at Big Grizzly Creek, gill nets would no longer be used in the streams.

Julie Cunningham gave a brief synopsis of material that would be covered at the April 25th public meeting relating to chemicals. Fran Roudebush noted that the public should be told the allowable standards of each chemical in the compound. Mr. Spath indicated that he would have a section on that at the public meeting and that he would also be speaking on the Prop 65 chemicals. There will be a comparison of the Nusyn-noxfish used in the 1997 treatment and CFT Legumine that would be used in the new project at the workshop.
