Re: Draft Notes from the April 17, 2006 Lake Davis Steering Committee meeting held at Portola City Hall
Voting Members Present: John Ball (Rotary), Jim Murphy (City of Portola), Bill Powers (Plumas County Supervisor, District 1), Colleen Marsh (Lake Davis Coalition), Terry Bergstrand (Plumas County Sheriff)

Public Comment: None
Minutes: It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes of the March 20, 2006 meeting. All voting members present voted in favor.
Project Directors Report: Ed Pert reported that all agencies involved were working on the EIR/EIS process. He explained that there had been problems with the mailing of the newsletter but he felt they had been worked out and local residents should receive them in the next few days, he reported that the newsletter was available on the web page and handed out some for the committee members.
He reported that the 1997 invertebrate report was still being completed and that the final document should be available at the end of the month. In regards to the current invertebrate work, he explained that they were not able to complete the inventory for the draft EIR/EIS.
DWR Report on Grizzly Creek: Mr. Rischbieter reported that he would send the committee members information on how to access the draft mitigated negative declaration for the “Proposed Northern Pike Containment System at the Outlet of Lake Davis on Big Grizzly Creek” project.
Agency Reports:
DFG – Ms. Cunningham reported that the department would be hiring a biologist to supervise filed work and that there was spawning activity at the lake.
City of Portola: Mr. Murphy reported that the City was continuing to work with the County on the treatment plant and that the design should be complete by the end of the 2006 summer.
County of Plumas – Mr. Foley reported that he was still waiting for results from Livermore Lab testing. Mr. Ozanich noted that Air Quality would respond to the EIR when it was completed.
Other items and agenda items for May meeting
Entrix would be meeting on the 25th to discuss economic issues.
Set next meeting date: The next meeting was scheduled for 1-3 pm on May 15 at City Hall.
