Lake and Streambed Alteration Program, Notification Package
NOTIFICATION PACKAGE
Fish and Game Code section 1602 requires any person, state or local governmental agency, or public utility to notify the Department before beginning any activity that will substantially modify a river, stream, or lake.
In order to notify the Department, you must submit a complete notification package and fee to the Department regional office that serves the county where your project will take place. Please note that revised notification forms took effect July 28, 2006. The Lake or Streambed Alteration Notification Package includes the following:
- Lake or Streambed Alteration Notification Form
- Attachments
- Instructions and Process
- The current fee schedule that lists the fees you must submit with your complete notification package, and information regarding other charges that may apply to your project, and
- Questions and answers regarding the notification and agreement process
