Stage 2 Conservation Strategy Public Comments Posted: Public comments received by The Department of Fish and Game on the DRAFT ERP conservation strategy covering the Sacramento-San Joaquin Valley Ecological Management Zone (EMZ), and Sacramento Valley and San Joaquin Valley regions have been posted. This latest version of the Conservation Strategy for Stage 2 implementation provides the rationale for restoration actions specific to each of these regions. It further provides the conceptual framework and process that will guide the refinement, evaluation, prioritization, implementation, monitoring, and review of ERP actions. |

ERP 2010-11 Proposal Solcitation Package: The Director of the Department of Fish and Game has determined the final projects to be funded through the 2010-2011 CALFED Ecosystem Restoration Program (ERP) proposal solicitation. |

Delta Science Program's 2010 Proposal Solicitation Package Projects Aapproved for Funding: The Delta Science Program received 49 proposals in response to its 2010 Proposal Solicitation Package (PSP), requesting approximately $31,000,000 in total funding. A rigorous independent review process led to the recommendation of 13 proposals for funding, totaling over $7 million. Funding approval for the 13 recommended proposals (identified below) was received from the Delta Stewardship Council at its March 24-25, 2011 public meeting. |

Delta Stage 2 ERP Conservation Strategy Available: The Ecosystem Restoration Program (ERP) Conservation Strategy for Stage 2 Implementation in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Ecological Management Zone has been provided to the Delta Stewardship Council for review. |

Delta Risk Management Strategy Phase 1 Report Available: The Department of Water Resources has released the Delta Risk Management Strategy Phase 1 Report and Executive Summary. DRMS Phase 1 report findings will be used to help develop a set of strategies to manage levee failure risks in the Delta and to improve the management of state funding that supports levee maintenance and improvement. | |

Bay Delta Conservation Plan (BDCP):
The Bay Delta Conservation Plan is being developed to promote the recovery of endangered, threatened and sensitive fish and wildlife species and their habitats in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta in a way that will also protect and restore water supplies.

Delta Vision Process Concludes in Strategic Recommendations: Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Delta Vision process concluded at the end of 2008, a little more than two years after it began, with a suite of strategic recommendations for long-term, sustainable management of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. |
