Quantum GIS

DNR Garmin
Windows application to download/upload data to a Garmin GPS and convert GPS data to ESRI shapefile format. This application replaces the older VB Garmin application.

This is a very full-featured extension for ArcGIS Desktop that includes many analysis, conversion, and table management tools. Around $200 per license.

ArcCatalog Object Filter from ArcScripts
This script adds a toolbar to ArcCatalog 9.x that allows you to filter objects (datasets, folders, sde layers, etc) in the contents view window. Very handy when working with SDE connections that list out tons of datasets and you want to quickly find one.
