RareFind 3 is a Windows-based application offering access to all CNDDB text data. It contains over 75,000 records on more than 3,000 rare native plants, animals, and natural communities in a convenient, searchable database. RareFind 3 can either be used as a standalone research tool or linked with GIS software such as ArcView or ArcGIS for greater flexibility. The RareFind 3 application is delivered to CNDDB subscribers on CD upon their initial subscription. Alternatively, subscribers may use RareFind 5, the Internet version of RareFind.

This file is a self-extracting Zip file. Right-click on the link and choose "Save As..." to download the file to your computer. Then, run the saved file to extract the new documentation to the C:\CNDDB3\ directory. The documentation will be placed inside the C:\CNDDB3\rfdocs directory. You may access the documentation via C:\CNDDB3\README.html.
