Delta Restoration Planning

Delta Tule Pea

Concern about the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta ecosystem is increasing. People have proposed many solutions to restore the Delta and to conserve fish and other species. Many of these actions have never been scientifically evaluated.

DRERIP planners have developed tools to identify and evaluate scientific restoration actions for the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta.

The planning tools are based on the adaptive management framework. This framework is outlined in the Ecosystem Restoration Program (ERP) Strategic Plan.

Adaptive Management Planning Team (AMPT)

The DRERIP Delta planning tools were developed by a multi-disciplinary team of experts guided by the Adaptive Management Planning Team (AMPT). AMPT provided the overall guidance and direction to the model developers and to the creation of the scientific evaluation process. Additionally, AMPT plays an important role in use of the planning tools to evaluate Delta ecosystem restoration actions.
